Originator | Loan Production
Brian Morris is an Originator responsible for sourcing deal flow in the Mid-Atlantic and Midwest regions. Mr. Morris has over 20 years of real estate and financial services experience, closing and/or managing over $1 billion in transactions across multiple asset classes and investment strategies. He has been a principle investor, originator, asset manager, and underwriter for various institutions in all aspects of the real estate capital stack, including joint venture equity, subordinate debt, and bridge and long-term senior debt.
Prior to his most recent experience originating and structuring complex modifications as a commercial real estate loan workout advisor, Mr. Morris was the Head of Asset Management for two private equity funds, managing over 80 multifamily and commercial assets aggregating to over $500 million in value. He previously was a Managing Director at LEM Mezzanine where he originated, structured, and negotiated subordinate and bridge loan financing. Prior to LEM, Mr. Morris was a Director in GE Real Estate’s Strategic Capital Group where he was responsible for originating large and middle-market senior loans. He was also a Vice President in Wells Fargo’s Real Estate Merchant Banking Group, originating and underwriting bridge loans and mezzanine loans as well as making equity investments and providing lines of credit to private equity funds.
Mr. Morris holds an MBA from the McDonough School of Business at Georgetown University. He also earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
