Marty Reasoner is a Partner and the Executive Vice President overseeing the originations, sales and screening team at ACRES and managing the deal flow from inception to closing. Mr. Reasoner joined ACRES as a Partner in 2012 after a fifteen year career in the National Hockey League. Prior to ACRES, he was a Partner in Creekside Investments, which invested in residential family housing. He was also a member of the Real Estate Investment Network, a Canadian based real estate investing platform investing in multifamily homes.
Mr. Reasoner graduated from Boston College in 1998 as a First-Team All American and captain of the Boston College (BC) hockey team. He led the nation in scoring during his final season at BC. Mr. Reasoner was drafted 14th overall in the 1996 NHL draft and went on to play for St. Louis, Edmonton, Boston, Atlanta, Florida and the New York Islanders. He received numerous team awards over the course of his career including Unsung Hero, Community Service and “The Players Player” award which is given each year to the player who “best exemplifies being a team player.” In 2011, while playing for the Florida Panthers he was nominated by his teammates for the King Clancy award given annual by the NHL “to the player that best exemplifies leadership on and off the ice and who has made a noteworthy humanitarian contribution to his community.”
