Dr. Temple Grandin - American Scientist and Autism Activist
For Women’s History Month, we asked the ACRES team to share which women inspired them and had an impact on their lives. For Chief Marketing Officer Lynne Viccaro O’Leary, that person is American scientist and autism activist Dr. Temple Grandin.
“Dr. Grandin is not only renowned for her groundbreaking work for the humane treatment of livestock, as well as a best-selling author, she is also one of the first people on the autism spectrum to document the insights of her condition, helping to advance understanding and alleviate the stigma. I admire Dr. Grandin’s refusal to let the world define or limit her, advancing the cause for people on the spectrum with a blend of first-hand knowledge, scientific findings, and thoughtful discussion.”
